Here I am holding up the tower, as every single tourist you see taking a photo is doing. We ended having a little excitement at the leaning tower.
After getting our tickets and standing in line a protest began and the
protesters set off blue and red smoke bombs. Scott & I headed
inside where we were stopped part of the way up by a group of military
men with guns. Turns out, one of the protesters put a banner up on the
tower and they were stopping to talk to/arrest him while two of the men
went to pull down the big banner.
The legs of military guys who were simultaneously telling us to wait while trying to get the person who put up the banner.
Just glad everything turned out and we're safe. Here's a view from the top.
